Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLIONEL BERRIAULT December 18, 1932 - June 22, 2008 After a battle with cancer, Lionel passed away peacefully at his daughter Angel's home with family at his side. He was 75 years old. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Lionel was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Vicky, in February 2006 and his brothers Ernie and Ovide. He is survived by his sisters Lucia (Lloyd Nickel) and Rhea. He also leaves behind eight children Doris (Gary Stott), Rick (Lisa), Andre (Lucille), Carol (Art Martens), Ralph (Heather), Robert (Cathy), Angel (Greg Maude) and David (Kim) and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lionel was an ironworker by trade and worked nearly 40 years at Dominion Bridge. He then built up a successful construction company, Berriault Construction Inc., in Balmertown, Ontario. He enjoyed chatting for hours with his friends in his shop behind his home. Many projects were discussed, verbally put together and verbally taken apart in the shop. The word can't was not part of Lionel's vocabulary. He always enjoyed a challenge and was a problem solver. The time spent on his houseboat with Vicky was a source of happiness. He enjoyed fishing from the houseboat as well as entertaining family and friends. The family would like to thank South EastMan Health of St. Anne's, MB for their help in making his last few weeks comfortable and peaceful. The family would also like to thank Dr. Humes for his dedicated care for our father. A memorial service will be held at the St. Adolphe Parish church on Friday, June 27 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 9Z9.
