HEINRICHS August 10, 1928 - June 23, 2008 Suddenly, but peacefully, Dad passed away at home on Monday, June 23 at the age of 79. He was born and raised in Lowe Farm to Henry and Mary Heinrichs where he married Phyllis Karlenzig in 1947. Dad worked on his parents farm and then for the Morris Municipality as a heavy equipment operator for many years. In 1967 Mom and Dad bought a poultry farm in Rosenort from which they retired in 1986. Their retirement years were spent in Morden and Winnipeg. Dad will be remembered for his selfless servant heart. Whatever needed to be done, he could do it. He was a true jack-of-all-trades, and somehow a master of all. Dad lovingly took care of Mom for as long as he could at home and continued to care for her in her new home. Dad is survived by his wife Phyllis of 61 years of the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris; six children and their families; Don (Alvina) with Jewel (Mike) Martens - Taylor, Ryder, Mason, Graycie, and Tami (Charles) Tyson - Kaylani, Nevaeh, and Analisa (Matt) Hruda - Tyson; Elaine (Art) Chappell with Travis (Krista) - Abigail, Jillian, Molly, and Jeri, Christian, Sebastian; Jim (Marj) with Jennifer (Jesse Gair), Katie - Alex, and Sara and Billy; Janet (Dennis) Brandt with Rebecca (Kevin Ostash), Robert (Tracey); Karen (Vern) Hamill with Michael and Jeremy; David (Lori) with Patrick (Susie) and Lindsey (Ron Saurette) - Scott, and Victoria (Michael); as well as one sister, Susie Bergen. Dad was predeceased by three grand-children, Jonathon, Tom and Rachel, as well as four brothers and one sister. There will be a viewing service Thursday, June 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street. The funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27, 10:30 a.m. at Morrow Gospel Church, 755 Ste. Anne's Road, Winnipeg, followed by a private family interment at the Lowe Farm cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
