Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN DORVAL (nee GELINEAU) May 7, 1923 - June 23, 2008 It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that our family announces the passing of our mother Jean Dorval at the age of 85. Mom has gone to join our dad (Emil), the love of her life, who passed away such a short time ago on May 19, 2008. Mom and Dad will now be together forever. Mom was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her. Mom leaves to cherish her memory her five children, Leo Dorval (Patsy), Lorraine Yolkowskie (Jim), Jacqueline Johnson (John), Diane Votto (Norbert) and Paul Dorval (Pat); her grand-children, Jacqueline, Kade, Daniel, Robert, Francine, Jamie, Tracey, Kelly, Kerri, Sean, Morgan, Thomas, John, Scott, Reneé and her great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was her time spent at Flanders Lake where she always had baking ready for anyone who might drop by for a visit. She loved family get-togethers and visits from friends. A memorial funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2008 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). A gathering of family and friends will follow in the reception centre. The family would like to thank Dr. Zoppa and the nursing staff at the Selkirk General Hospital for their care and compassion through this difficult time.
