Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEANNE AURELIE MEILLEUR (nee PEPIN) Peacefully on June 24, 2008, with her family at her side, Jeanne Meilleur of Fisher Branch, Manitoba passed away at the age of 89 years. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her children Denise (Dave) Mann, Ronald (Sylvia) Meilleur, Janine (Bob) Hnatiuk, Doris (Stan) MacKenzie, Louella Harms (Leonard Kimacovich) and sons-in-law Bud Klus and Martin Komaromi. She also leaves to mourn her precious grandchildren Danny, Lorna, Keith, Darren, Darrel, Marianne, Theresa, Ann, Leslie, Cindy, Rona, Janice, Sabrina, Jason, Alyssa, Allan, Lana, Ainsley, Kristen and Brett and numerous great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband Albert (1983), her daughters Annette (1986) and Viola (1997) and two children who died at birth. Mom was born in Sandridge, Manitoba on October 19, 1918, the second youngest of 11 children. At the age of 16 she moved to Fisher Branch to live with her sister Delia. It is there that she met her future husband, Albert, whom she married in 1936. Mom and Dad lived and worked on the farm until moving into town in 1973. Mom worked endlessly raising her children and maintaining the household. Planting a big garden, canning vegetables, sewing clothes, baking bread, keeping the house spotless mom did it all, but yet still found time for socializing with family and friends. Mom loved to entertain and was always prepared for unexpected company. Her favourite pastime was playing cards, she would always have a deck of cards close at hand. Mom also loved curling, partaking in many a bonspiel until her health prevented her from doing so. Mom also believed strongly in supporting her community. She was a long serving member of the Fisher Branch Women's Institute, generously contributing her time and talents into fundraising for local organizations. Mom led a full life one in which she always placed her family above anything else. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fisher Branch. Father Michael Raj Savarimuthu officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. The family wishes to thank all the home-care workers who were there for mom throughout the years as well as the wonderful staff at the Percy E. Moore Hospital who took such good care of mom as well as us, her children. Special thanks to Michelle and Carmelle, whose time spent with us, will always be remembered. Fisher Funeral Home Inc.
