GORDON ARTHUR LAPOINTE July 24, 1938 - June 23, 2008 After a brief illness, Gordon LaPointe passed away at the Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg, at the age of 69. He is survived by his ex-wife Alexina Hawrysz and their children, Irene Johnston, Greg LaPointe (Marie), Donna Richard, Jeanne LaPointe; Gordon and Rose's children, Richard LaPointe and Michele Isaac; brother Ernest (Sonny) Gladue; sisters, Josephine Yuskin, Isabel LaPointe and Shirley Walker, who was raised by Clara and numerous nephews and nieces. Gordon is predeceased by his mother Clara Gladue; father Joseph LaPointe; nephew Richard Houle; grandnephew Dustyn; son-in-law Dave Richard; and ex-spouse Rose Isaac. Prayers will be held at Aboriginal Funeral Chapel (724 Selkirk Ave.) on Sunday, June 29, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. also at Aboriginal Funeral Chapel with cremation to follow. The family would like to thank the ICU staff at the Victoria Hospital for their care of Gordon.
