JOSEPHINE ROSHKA (nee SASS) Peacefully, in Ottawa on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late John Roshka and longtime companion of the late MacKenzie Allen. Loving mother of Virginia Blondin; dear grandmother of Mathew; great-grandmother of Joshua and Joey; brother of Stanley Sass (Marge); and aunt of Connie Clark (Rick), Janice Sandison (Jim) and the late John Sass. At Josephine's request, her body is being donated to the University of Ottawa Anatomy Department. Interment of her cremated remains will take place at Elmwood Cemetery, Winnipeg at a later date. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), Ottawa on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
