Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY MARY LINDSAY (nee CASEY) After a long battle with cancer, Shirley Mary Lindsay (nee Casey), 83, of Sun City West, Arizona passed away on June 19, 2008. Shirley was born August 25, 1924 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, but spent most of her years in Winnipeg working for the provincial government and James Richardson and Sons. Those were the tough years, raising four children on her own. She earned a well deserved retirement, and she and her husband moved to Arizona in 1989. Survivors include her husband Jack R. Lindsay and nine children; daughters Michelle of St. Jerome, Que., Colleen of Oakville, Clare of McLean, Virginia, Cathy of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kristine of Seattle, Wash. and Patricia of Santa Barbara, Calif.; sons Michael of Winnipeg, Paul of Toronto, and Bill of Los Angeles, Calif. Shirley has 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren in the U.S. and Canada. She is also survived by her sister Virginia Sanson of Toronto, Ontario. She was predeceased by Phillip McHugh Casey and her darling brother Frank and sister Peggy. A family service will be held in Santa Barbara, Calif. on August 28th. Memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
