Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT LYLE SIMPSON 1953 - 2008 Unexpectedly, on June 26, 2008, Robert's family lost a very special person in their lives. He will be greatly missed by his partner of 28 years, Bert Kaus; special friends, Mary Lee (London, England), Miriam Bergen and Louise Redekop; sisters, Betty (Brian) Hicks, Donna (Bob) Bailey, Marlene Kerr, Bonnie (Don) Gates; sisters-in-law Shirley Simpson and Esther Simpson; mother-in-law Dorothy Kaus; brothers-in-law, Ron (Carole) Kaus, Garry Kaus, Alvin (Kathy) Kaus, Neil (Sharon) Kaus, Lloyd (Caroline) Kaus; sisters-in-law Vivian (Dave) Gallant, Sandy Kaus; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Alma and Dan; sister Audrey; brothers, Wayne, Doug Ronald and Dale; niece Belinda Kerr; nephew Wayne Simpson; brother-in-law Billy Kerr; father-in-law Hardy Kaus; and sister-in-law Heather Kaus. Robert was born on January 13, 1953 in Flin Flon, Manitoba growing up in both Flin Flon and Snow Lake. He graduated from Snow Lake School and attended Eston Bible College and Red River Community College, graduating with his Business Administration degree. Robert had a long and varied business career and was currently the General Manager of Edison Rental Agency, where he started in 1987. He was also recently elected as the Vice President of the Professional Property Managers Association. Robert was an avid genealogist and accomplished singer, who loved travelling, fishing at the cottage at Tramping Lake, woodworking, his beloved pets and spending time with his family and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at Fort Garry Place, 85 Garry Street at 1:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom, Wednesday, July 2, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Robert can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3 or a charity of your choice.
