JEAN LORRAINE KWIATKOWSKI It is with great sorrow that our family must announce the passing of Jean Lorraine Kwiatkowski on Friday, June 20, 2008 at Riverview Health Centre. She was predeceased by her mother and father Paraska and Jacob Prus, husband Chester in 1970, and son Terry in 2002. Jean will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by those who survive her - daughter Connie and her children Tamara, Tiffany, Joel, Jesse and Jarrel; daughter Yvonne (Gerry); daughter Lesley (Dave) and their children Kennedy and Thomas; son Chris (Kathy) and their sons Matthew and Ryan; Terry's children TerriAnn, Jeffrey and Joey; as well as great-grandchildren, and her many friends. Jean was born in Strathclair, Manitoba in 1929, and raised her family near Elphinstone until moving to Winnipeg after Chester's death. She maintained her independence until her recent battle with pancreatic cancer. Family was paramount to Jean, and she spent her life as a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sincere thanks to Dr. St. Godard and the nurses and staff on the 3rd Floor East at the Riverview Health Centre for their compassionate care during Mum's stay. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service is to be held on Friday, July 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrews Anglican Church, 2700 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg; Reverend Ian Mills will be officiating. Interment will take place during a private family service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mum's name to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3C 9Z9 or to St. Andrews Anglican Church, R3J 0R1.
