MARTHA KNIGHT On Thursday, June 26, 2008, Martha peacefully passed away at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ed, parents, three sisters and one brother. She leaves to mourn nieces and nephews: Eleanor, and June of England, Hugh and Margaret of New York, as well as brothers-in-law Dan Knight (Margaret), Alvin (Shirley), and Jack; sisters-in-law June Asher, and Helen Knight, and all of their families, and many friends. Martha was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She served in the British Army from 1941-1945 where she met her husband-to-be, Edward Knight, and was married in 1945. She came to Canada in July of 1946 as a War Bride. Martha loved working with her hands. She loved knitting and sewing and she spent many happy hours making crafts of all kinds. She also loved cooking her favourite Scottish dishes, and was well known amongst family and friends for her Scottish Eggs and scones. A special thanks to Dan Knight Jr. for the many things he did for her and places he took her. Special thanks as well to Meadowood Manor, River Park Gardens and her many friends there, and to special friend Irene Bouteau. Funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 4, 2008 at Meadowood Manor, 577 St. Anne's Road, with Pastor Ed Hamm officiating. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to service.
