JAMES WELLEIN Peacefully, at Oakview Place, Winnipeg, MB, James C. Wellein passed over on June 28, 2008 in his 93rd year, with family at his side. Jim was predeceased by Evelyn his wife of 67 years, and son, James Ross. Remaining to cherish Jim's memory are brother Robert Wellein, sister Mary Thicke, and nieces and nephews all of Montreal. Daughters, Marilyn McArthur and Maureen Moskal, together with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Jim, a devoted husband, father, friend and family man was an avid gardener a lover of birds, and devotee of nature throughout his life, 30 years of which were spent in the employ of CPR. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the Eagle Way staff, 3rd floor, Oakview Place, who so considerately cared for Jim during his sojourn. A memorial service followed by a reception will be held Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. Private interment with family to follow. Austin will be Honorary Pallbearer designate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2.
