Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANKLIN (FRANK) MICHAEL STARODUB On Sunday, June 29, 2008 with his family at his side and a week after his 80th birthday, Dad was called to meet his maker. He will be sadly missed by children, Gary, Karen Manitowich (Harvey), Paul (Sandy), Allan, Elinor Tanti (Vic) and Jackie (Matt); grandchildren, Jacqueline, Tyler, Karlene, Keenan, Spencer and Paul. Dad was born and raised in East Selkirk and lived there most of his life. He spent some time in Ontario were he met his wife Rose. They married on July 29, 1950. Mom and Dad moved back to East Selkirk in 1961. Dad worked most of his live in the construction industry and was known as one of the best drywallers in the Interlake. During his life, Dad made many friends and enjoyed it when one of them would stop in for coffee. He enjoyed his garden, talking to people, playing cards and his trips to Smitty's with his buddy Craig. Many Sunday afternoons were spent playing UNO with the kids and grandkids. We were always trying to decide who was cheating more, Grandpa or the grandkids. The grandkids always got a kick out of making Grandpa Pick 4 . Dad was predeceased by his wife Rose, infant children Francis and Janet, his parents, brothers Walter, Joe, Peter and sisters Kaye and Stephanie. Pallbearers will be his sons, Gary, Paul, Allan, son-in-law Harvey, grandson Tyler and friend and neighbour Craig Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be all his grandchildren. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, July 3 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, East Selkirk with Fr. Dado Parrenas officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Stanislaus Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Dad, you are finally at peace. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
