PAUL AUGUSTINE LARKIN August 9, 1925 - June 28, 2008 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Paul Larkin at the age of 82. Predeceased by his wife Josephine in 2002. Left to cherish his memories are his children and their spouses, Gail and Hoss Schell, John and Barbara, Andy and Diana, Howard and Verna and Donna Olson. Grandchildren, Heidi and husband Ken Reimer, Harlo and partner Belinda Sachvie, Melissa, Jill, Jodi, Kristina, Kara, Kailey, Kendra, Brigette, Molly and Blake and great-grandchildren, Tatum, Tyrone and Hayden. Paul will be remembered by his brothers and their spouses, Joe, Dennis and Esther, Dan, Mark and Eileen. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Marcel St. Germain, Rita Smith, Eva and Howard Liddicoat, Thérèse and Bill Hunter, Margaret and Arnie Risbey and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by an infant sister Mary and brothers, Frank, Edward, Jack and Tom. Paul worked as a mechanic at Sturgeon Creek Garage for many years until he retired in 1982 due to health problems. For many years, Paul played baseball with the Hillary Blues. He loved to read and enjoyed poetry. His grandchildren were a great joy to him, he loved the time he spent with each of them. Not only was Paul a great father and grandfather, he was a treasured neighbour and friend. He was always there to help, whether it be a vehicle repair, build a clothes tree, or fix a lawnmower, he never said no, he was a Jack-of-all-Trades! Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3 at Charleswood Gospel Temple at the West Perimeter Hwy., south of Roblin Boulevard. Paul will be laid to rest with his wife Josie at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6 or a charity of your choice. Tributes may be sent to www.mem.com
