STANLEY BORDEN (DICK) CARROTHERS With sadness we announce the passing of Stanley Borden (Dick) Carrothers, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend at Gladstone Hospital on Saturday, June 28, 2008. Dick was predeceased by his parents Tom and May Carrothers; daughter Donna Lee Slous; father-in-law Howard (Freda) McLaren; son-in-law Gordon Slous; brothers Donald, Eldon, Leslie, Louis and sisters Isabel Enta, Violet Wright; brothers-in-law Harold Boughton, King Enta, Tommy Wright, Lionel McLaren; sisters-in-law, Joan Carrothers, Leone McLaren, Jean McLaren; nephew Rick McDougall and niece Pat Lindstead. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Lillace; his children Pat Weber (Frank) of Gladstone and Jim Carrothers (Bev Taylor) of Stony Plains, Alberta; grandchildren Dale (Sue) Slous, Lori (Rick) Demeter, Boyd (Joyce) Slous, Dawn (Rob) Yaschuk. Shawn Weber, Heidi Nowicki (Steve Nilsson), Nicole (Kayhan) Unal, Katherine Weber, Steven and Megan Carrothers; brothers Cliff (Gladys), Clarence (Marie); sisters Vera Hay and Grace Boughton; great-grandchildren Melissa, Andrea, Mitchell, Sara and Clayton Demeter, Kara and Stephen Slous, Gordon Yaschuk, Randi Jeanne and Jenna Nowicki, Selen and Taylan Unal, and Justin Weber as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. Cremation has taken place and funeral services will be held in Austin United Church, Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the family plot at Austin Cemetery.
