LEON MALO August 1, 1931- July 2, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Léon on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 76 years. Léon is lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years Juliette (nee Simard), children Lorraine (Larry) Chartrand, Jean (Ginette), Jeanne (Claude) Giasson, Gilles (Nadine), Guy (Darlene), 14 grandchildren, one great- granddaughter, four brothers, brothers and sisters-in-law as well as numerous, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and one sister-in-law. Léon made a lot of friends and took pride working as a custodian for the Norwood School Division. He enjoyed volunteering his time at the Taché Centre. Léon was very proud of his family and spent a lot of quality time with them. The family wishes to thank Dr. Maxwell and the staff of the Oncology Dept. of the Victoria General Hospital and the doctors and staff of 6A Medicine of the St. Boniface General Hospital. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Boniface Cathedral. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date at the St. Boniface Cemetery.
