FLOYD WILDE Born November 4, 1944 Peacefully on June 28, 2008 surrounded by family and close friends, Floyd passed away after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his partner Sarah Joseph, Anne Wilde (Mom), Dianne Wilde (former wife), and their children Scott (Shannon), Shawna, Brooke (Jason), and Shane (Val). Also left to mourn, Clifford Wilde (brother) and Richard Rodd (brother-in-law), his beautiful grand-children Sean, Brandon, Chandler, Brynn, Maddie, Cadence and Ethan, along with the many friends with whom loved Floyd and will miss him dearly. Floyd was predeceased by his father William in 2002 and his mother Lena in 1969. Floyd was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he was a successful businessman and owner of Wilde Poultry, a shareholder of hog barns and a Commodity Exchange Broker. For everything Floyd accomplished in his life, his business ventures were always of great importance, joy and personal satisfaction to him. The majority of his life was spent in Brunkild raising his family and making lifelong friends. In 1980 Floyd purchased vacation property in Palm Desert, California which he and his family enjoyed and shared many fond memories. This was his escape from the cold. Floyd was known to call family and friends back home to ask how the weather was, his reply back was it was just another crappy day in the desert and they could always sense the huge grin on his face followed by his laughter. Floyd also enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Lac Du Bonnet and loved to have family and friends over. He enjoyed taking everyone out on his pontoon boat to show the beauty of the surroundings. He got joy in pulling practical jokes every chance he could. He will be forever missed by his family, friends and his loyal dog Otis. A celebration of Floyd's life will take place on Tuesday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brunkild Memorial Hall. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you kindly donate to prostate cancer research.
