EVE ELIZABETH BEANLAND (nee SIGURDSON) September 1, 1953 - June 27, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eve Beanland on Friday, June 27 at the Assiniboine Centre in Brandon, Manitoba. Eve will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bill; children, William (Jen) Beanland, Tina (Carl) Dell; grandchildren, Daphne and Dustin; sisters, Mae (George) Salikin, Joy (Barton) Smith and Gay (George) Hordienko. Predeceased by her mother Frances Sigurdson, father Gudmundar (Reg) Sigurdson, brother Grant Sigurdson and granddaughter Emily. Eve was born in Killarney, Manitoba and grew up on a farm in Wakopa. She met and married the love of her life, Bill Beanland and together for 41 years they lovingly raised their family. Eve gave generously of her time to those in need around her. Her door was always open to welcome anyone who needed a helping hand or a hot meal. She was known for her kind heart, her generosity and zest for life. Eve's life revolved around her family. She was never happier than when her children were around her, or when the sisters and family came to visit. It was Eve's wish that no service be held. Her request was that she wanted to see those she loved before she passed away. Family and friends gathered around her as she approached the last days and hours of her time here on earth. May her guardian angels continue to look after her. Many thanks to all her family and friends that came to visit her. The family would also like to say thank-you to all the caring staff at the hospital who added to her comfort during her last days.
