Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKENNETH ALEXANDER ELLIS Kenneth Alexander Ellis died on June 27, 2008 at Grace Hospital. He was born on March 31, 1922 to Francis and Janet Ellis. He is survived by the former Nobu Sato, his wife, of 40 years. There were four older children, Ursula (Mrs. Hugh Macphail), Jim, Hamilton, and Frances (Mrs. William Hurd of Vancouver), who survives. The family resided on Atlantic Avenue. Kenneth attended Ralph Brown, Faraday, and Isaac New schools. He worked at Eaton's, the Winnipeg Free Press, federal civil service and for 28 years as a lab technician with the Manitoba government. During the war, he had an undistinguished career as a navigator with the RCAF. In 1942 he was baptized and became a member of Broadway-First Baptist church. He was an enthusiastic member of the Winnipeg Gilbert Sullivan Society, volunteer worker at the Western Canada Aviation Museum and enthusiastically supported the Manitoba Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. It was a privilege to have lived on this earth, and to have met all you interesting people. There will be no funeral service. Flowers gratefully declined.
