Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDNA MARY COX (CLIVE) June 28, 1918 - July 1, 2008 Peacefully, with family by her side, Edna Cox, Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother passed away. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Nancy Metcalfe, son-in-law Robert Graham, grandchildren, Cory Metcalfe, Ryan Graham, Kylee Metcalfe, Lindsay Metcalfe Marcoux, and Jennifer Graham Witzaney, grandsons-in-law, Terry Marcoux and Ryan Witzaney, great-grandchild Madeliene Marcoux and numerous relatives in England. Edna was predeceased by her parents, Alf and Annie Clive, husband Stuart, daughter Carolyn Graham and son Ron Cox. Edna was born on June 28, 1918 in Lincolnshire, England. She came to Canada in 1919 where her parents farmed in the Asessippi area. After moving to Winnipeg, she became a hairstylist. She met and married Stuart Cox on June 2, 1941. They moved to Benito, Manitoba in 1960 where they farmed for 12 years. In 1972 they moved back to Winnipeg where Edna bought a salon. She loved her unique little shop on Osborne Street and most of her clientele were friends as well as patrons. Edna was a member of the Quota Club of Winnipeg and did fundraising for the hearing impaired. She spent a term as president of the club. Edna lived a vigorous life; always on the go but always there for her children and grandchildren. The family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Minnedosa Personal Care home and the Minnedosa Hospital for the care given to Edna. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
