RAYMOND ZEST Tragically on June 29, 2008 in Flagstaff, Arizona, Raymond Zest passed away at the age of 55. Ray was predeceased by his loving parents Margret and Clarence Zest. Left to mourn are brothers Doug, Norman (Patti), Don (Deb), sisters Lori (Dave), Deb (Vic) and many numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was born and raised in Winnipeg. As a child he loved to play and referee hockey. He attended Miles Macdonald Collegiate. After graduation he was employed for many years with Old Country Sausage in sales. He moved to Mesa, Arizona, in 1990. Some of his favourite pastimes were gardening, playing golf and watching sports. Go Diamondbacks Go. He enjoyed spending time with his close friends in Mesa. A service celebrating his life will be held on Wednesday, July 9 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Saviour's Anglican Church on Munroe and Grey St. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the charity of their choice. Life is but a stopping place, A pause in what's to be, A resting place along the road, To sweet eternity. We have all different journeys, Different paths along the way, We all were meant to learn some things, But never meant to stay.... Our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey's quicker, For some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, We'll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord.
