MARY CELCIA GALKA (SAWCHUK) September 3, 1921 - June 30, 2008 Mary Galka passed away peacefully at the Rosefield Centre in Innisfail, Alberta on June 30, 2008. Mary was predeceased by her husband Stanley, her brothers Peter Sawchuk (Dorie), Bill Sawchuk, and her sister Kay Hoff. She leaves to mourn her son Ken Galka and his wife Yvonne of Calgary, daughter Marilyn Vine (Galka) of Olds and granddaughters Savannah and Shaina, and her sister Anne Kolodychuk (Vince) of Kelowna, British Columbia. Mary was born in Dundurn, Saskatchewan, When Mary and Stanley were first married, they lived in Walkleyburg, Manitoba for few years before moving to Winnipeg. Mary then moved to Olds, Alberta in August of 2000 to be closer to her family. Mary spent the last seven months in Extended Care in Olds and Inisfail where she was well taken care of. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Monroe Avenue and Brazier Street, 300 Donalda Avenue, with Brother Jorge Villegas O.F.M. presiding. Interment will follow at the Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Arthritis Society of Canada. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
