MICHAEL THOMAS MCKEE 1954 - 2008 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mike McKee on July 4, 2008 at the Victoria General Hospital. Mike will be sadly missed by his wife Chris; his boys Riley and Kieran; his brothers, Walter (Terry), Frank (Catherine); sister Tricia Wilde (Glen); sisters-in-law Karen Turner (Wes), Barb Kitching (Brian), Val Turner (Gordon) and many nieces and nephews. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Mary McKee and his stepmother Florence McKee. Mike was born April 3, 1954 in Nottingham, England and grew up in Fort Rouge. He was employed by Sport Manitoba for 16 years, most recently with Manitoba Cycling Association and Manitoba Amateur Bodybuilding. Mike enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. Everyone always enjoyed Mike's sense of humor and love of practical jokes. He believed life was too short to be serious all the time. He opened his home to everyone and always wanted to find a solution to everyone's problems. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church, 500 Lagimodiere Blvd. Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
