DAWN ELIZABETH HOOD Dawn was born May 14, 1934 and lived almost all her life in Winnipeg; passing away peacefully at Concordia Hospital on Saturday, July 5, 2008, with family at her bedside. Dawn was predeceased by her parents Len and Kay Tarbuth. Dawn is survived by her loving husband Keith of 37 years, daughters Kim (Tom) Saskosky and Cathy (Mark) Weremy, special cousin Lawson Tarbuth, Keith's brother Don and wife Jean, and numerous extended family members. Dawn was a gifted singer performing in many school musicals and in later years with the John Black United Church Choir. Her working years were mainly at the CP Rail Data Centre and later at the TD Data Centre. Lake Winnipeg was enjoyed, in early years, at her grandparents' cottage at Loni Beach by Gimli; and last 20 years at the Valhalla Beach cottage, family built, near Arnes. Dawn loved animals, and especially enjoyed the deer coming for treats at the cottage in winter. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 10 at 2:00 p.m., Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. The family would like to say thank you to the wonderful staff at 3E Concordia Hospital.
