GWEN F. MUNZ 1941 2008 It is with great sadness and deep sorrow that this announcement be made of the passing of Gwen Munz, on July 5, 2008, at Seven Oaks Hospital, at the age of 67. She is survived by her two sons Marc (Emma) Shwaluk and Douglas Shwaluk; grandchildren Jessica, Vanessa, and Nicole Shwaluk; brother Clayton Munz; nieces Robin Couronne and Melody Munz; also many relatives and friends. Gwen was predeceased by her mother Evelyn Golfman (Joeseph Golfman), and father Frederick Munz. Gwen worked for many years as a nurse at Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. Gwen had great compassion for her clients and always made time for her friends and neighbours over a cup of coffee. Though not retired, she had time for the many enjoyments in her life. She enjoyed gardening and doing various projects at her house. She loved fishing and camping with her friends and family back in Thunder Bay. Also, much happiness was brought to her through her love for her dogs. Gwen was a woman who lived her life to the fullest with the biggest spirit. Special thanks to dear friends Edith, Jack, Roxie, and Gord from Thunder Bay, ON; neighbours Nick, Daniel; and coworkers Cheryl, Marge, Nancy, and Lolita from Winnipeg, MB. Also thanks to the doctors and staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and compassion. At her request cremation has already taken place and a service will be held at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008.
