DARREN ROMIJN August 8, 1982 - July 6, 2008 It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Darren Paul Romijn on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the age of 25 years. Remaining to forever cherish Darren's memory are his parents Henry and Theresa; brothers Gary (Dee), Greg (Reyna); girlfriend Danielle Slote; niece and nephew Kadynce and Tristan, along with numerous family members and friends. Darren was a passionate young man with a sensitive soul. He was an avid reader, loved snowmobiling, golfing and skiing. Although he had only been at his job with C T Rentals for a short time Darren told us often that he enjoyed his work and getting to know his coworkers. His smile alone would light up our world and that is how he will be remembered. God Bless our special angel. On Friday, July 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Darren's funeral service will be held in the Epiphany Lutheran Church, 200 Dalhousie Drive with Pastor Ed Mitchler presider. The family extends our sincere thanks to the staff at the Health Sciences SCIU for their efforts with Darren and compassion shown to us. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Darren's memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Unit 1 - 452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1G4 or to the trauma centre at the Health Sciences Centre, MS7 - 820 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1R9.

  • Darren, its only been a few days since you have left us...and everyday breaks my heart. I know you are in a better place and you left such an impact on my life, I will never forget you! Even though we hadn't hung out as much in the end, I thought about you everyday and wondered how you were doing. No matter what you were still my bestfriend. I can't wait till we meet again friend, till then, always missing and thinking of you. XO - Posted by: Alia Beakley (Family) on: Jul 09, 2008
