CAETANO TAVARES On July 6, 2008, our beloved father and grandfather passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 80. He was predeceased by his loving wife Alda whom he was married to for eight years. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his children, daughter Oriana (Henrique) and two sons Henrique (Natalia), Caetano (Filomena), sister Maria, eight grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Caetano was born in San Miguel, Acores and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1974, where he worked at Versitile until retirement. His fondest memories were of times spent with family and the many friends made throughout the years. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, July 8 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Very Rev. José Eduardo Medeiros, V.F. officiating. Interment to follow in Assumption Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Caetano's memory to the Canadian Lung Association.
