ELIZABETH GUTTMAN (RELKO) 1962 - 2008 Peacefully in her sleep on July 5, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with cancer Elizabeth Guttman passed away. Elizabeth (Liz) leaves to morn her husband David and children Rachel and Daniel; her sisters Kathy Veroneau, sons Kevin and Alex, Carol Kendrick; children Shaun, Roberta, Richard and Susan; brother Michael Relko and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Liz was predeceased by her parents George and Nellie Relko. She grew up in the Dauphin area and after graduating moved to Hamilton, ON for a short period and then moved to Winnipeg. She worked at North American Life Insurance and then obtained a degree at Success College and embarked on a legal career for the next 19 years, employed at McRoberts Law Office, McJannett Rich and finally at Darcy Deacon, as a legal assistant. Her greatest joys in her life were her two children Rachel and Daniel to whom she was tirelessly devoted. She made sure she was involved in all their activities and pursuits. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother she also took the time to be there for all other family members and numerous friends. She bravely fought with all her strength and heart until the very end in her difficult battle with cancer. Her spirit will live on in Rachel and Daniel. Special thanks to Dr. Benji Wiesenthal and to the 3rd floor staff at the Grace Hospital and in particular Leslie and Colette for all their kindness during her stay. Funeral service will take place Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. CHAPEL LAWN 885-9715
