Dad was predeceased by his parents George and Beatrice; wife Lorna and infant daughters Kimberley and Heather; brothers Jim, Art, Bert and Raymond and sisters Beatrice, Mary and Ethel. Survived by his Son Cyril (Ella), Cole, Bobbi-Jo; Daughter Joanne (Garry), Dylan, Bentley; special friend Isabell, plus numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was born at Fisherton, MB on December 16, 1926 the youngest of eight children. At age two the family moved to the Woodlands area, where he remained until his passing. Early years were spent helping on the family farm. Hunting became a way of escaping the farm chores; he continually graced the table with deer and game birds, this became a lifelong passion. During the war years a very young Dad worked on many threshing crews, logging in Ontario with his brother Art and various odd jobs. Dad worked as an Iron Worker saving to purchase his farm in 1950. Brother Raymond helped to run the farm, while Dad continued working away. In 1951 he met and married Lorna Robertson. With the onset of a family Dad remained home raising cattle and working his PMU ranch with the help of his family. Dad's passion for hunting remained a large part of his life, teaching and spending time afield with his partner (Lorna), children, grandchildren and many hunting partners. Dad's many life experiences provided all whose lives he touched with a never-ending supply of songs, stories, rhymes and jokes. Our family home was a gathering place with great meals and even better stories were provided by mom and Dad, Yaaa... Dad's last few years were shared with not only family and friends but also with his friend and companion Isabell, whose unending patience, love and support will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of choice.
