DONALD ARTHUR SIMPSON Donald (Don) Simpson was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 8, 1942 and passed away in Edmonton, Alberta on July 6, 2008 at University of Alberta Hospital after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was 66 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 35 years Judi, sons Brad (Sarah) and Blake (Samantha), granddaughter Bailey, sister Jo-Anne (Dennis) Deley, niece Alissa (Jason) Clark, nephew Jeff Deley, mother-in-law Ann Morrison, sister-in-law Jan (Jim) Bean, nieces, Jackie (Randy) Demchuk and Catharine (Cal) Beattie and great-nephews Braeden and Keenan Demchuk as well as many good friends and business associates. Don was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Dorothy Simpson, brother Ronnie, father-in-law James Morrison and brother-in-law William Morrison. Don enjoyed a multitude of interests including slo-pitch baseball, walleyball, fishing, golf, jogging, travel, riding his Harley and driving his Jaguar roadster. Much of Don's leisure time was spent at his lake cabin. He treasured time with his family and particularly his granddaughter Bailey. He was her Poppa Don . Don had a wonderful and quick sense of humour. He believed whole-heartedly in honesty, kindness and integrity and lived those beliefs every day. After being in the glass industry for many years, Don started his own glass business in St. Albert in 1985, Beacon Glass Products, which continues to grow to this day. Special thanks go to all who cared for Don during his illness.
