Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNELLIE EDITH DUCHAK 1912 - 2008 It is with mixed emotions that we announce that on July 9, 2008, Nellie was reunited with her beloved husband Jack. Left to reflect on a myriad of memories that were her life is her daughter, Shirley (Glenn), grandchildren, Robert (Katherine), (grandson-in-law Cliff), Edward (Victoria), Barbara (Brian) along with her 12 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Waiting with Jack in heaven for her arrival are granddaughter Karolynne, great-great grandson Travis, and her lifelong friend Kay Leah. Nellie was born and raised in Winnipeg. In March of 1933 she married Jack Duchak and moved to Flin Flon to begin their 70 years of married life. In 1942 they returned to Winnipeg. Nellie spent her entire life dedicated to the care and love for her home and family. Nellie was an avid bowler and won many trophies in the St. James and Air Canada Leagues. She made friends easily and kept them for a lifetime. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nellie's memory to the Alzheimer Society, Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2 or the Epilepsy Association of Manitoba, 301-309 Hargrave St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2J8.
