MAUREEN AIKENS Maureen Aikens, of Stettler, Alberta, beloved wife of the late Irvin Red Aikens, passed away peacefully in the Red Deer Hospital on July 5, 2008. Born in Winnipeg, Maureen married her soul-mate, Red and they had one son, Curtis. In 1970 the family pulled up stakes and moved to Calgary. In 1987, Red and Maureen moved to Stettler where they found a farm to call their own. Red passed away in December, 2007 and Maureen remained on the family farm until her passing. A memorial was held in Maureen's memory on Saturday, July 12, at the Stettler Funeral Home. If desired, memorial donations may be made to your local S.P.C.A. or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
