Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES CATHERINE FIZELL (nee ZIMMER) Peacefully, with her family and loved ones by her side, on Friday, July 4, 2008 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Aggie passed away after a long hard fought battle with breast cancer. Aggie never gave up, she was a true trooper right to the end with a great positive attitude. Left to mourn her passing are her husband and soulmate Jerry and her extended family consisting of three great-step daughters, Sheryl (Dave) and their kids, Connie and granddaughter Brook, all of Winnipeg, Debbie (Brian) and kids of Calgary. She is also survived by sisters, Hilda (Lawrence) and Isabelle; brother Will (Gail), as well as many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Aggie was predeceased by her parents, Anne and Tony Zimmer; sister Freda; brother Harold; brother-in-law Bob and nephew Bill. Aggie was born in Benito, Manitoba on December 17, 1942. She graduated from Neepawa Collegiate obtaining her CGA certificate and ran her own accounting business until she retired in 2007; as well as running Partners in Crime Janitorial with her husband Jerry, which she played a very active role. Belonging to the Fabulous 50's Car Club was a dream come true for Aggie. She always looked forward to our monthly meetings, Sunday breakfasts, Wednesday and Sunday cruise nights, as well as countless car shows all over Manitoba and North Dakota. Aggie truly enjoyed our latest project of restoring a 1941 Ford, which she said reminded her of the one on the farm, the truck is dubbed Little Aggie !! As well Aggie belonged to the BPW club for many years and went on conventions all over Canada. The one she never forgot was the trip to Alaska with Dana and Elaine and the BPW club. Aggie also found much support and comfort being a member of the Selkirk breast cancer support group. A celebration of Aggie's life will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Selkirk United Church, 202 Mclean Ave., Selkirk, MB. A light lunch will be served following the service at the Royal Canadian Legion. Anyone wishing to say a few words at the service are more than welcome. The family would like to thank those special nurses in Palliative Care, you know who you are, Carol and Eleanor. Carol thank you for the butterfly to take Aggie home. Thank you so much to Dr. Racette for her excellent care for Aggie and the girls in cancer care. Also thanks to Dr. Fuchs and Dr Speer for dropping in to see how Aggie and I were doing.
