MARY GONZOLA Peacefully on July 12, 2008, our Mom passed away at Fred Douglas Lodge surrounded by her loving family. Mom is survived by her two daughters, Mary (Ed) Firman, Doris (Don) Gowryluk; only granddaughter Trish (Andrew) Goosen and great-grandchildren, Carter and Victoria. She was predeceased by husband Micheal; daughter Leona; sisters, Francis and Stella; brother Mike and her parents, Leon Sahaidak and Teodorka Sahaidak-Kozera. Mom was born in Fraserwood, MB, September 8, 1918. She married Dad on October 18, 1941 and together farmed in Fraserwood, MB until 1957 when they moved to Winnipeg, MB. Mom was a loving and kind person who was always reading to help and support her family. Her three daughters meant the world to her. Her greatest joy came when her only granddaughter Trish was born. Trish has many good memories of her Baba. Mom's favourite saying was I lived long enough to see my great-grandchildren Carter and Victoria born. Our sincere thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Fred Douglas Lodge (Evergreen Ward) where Mom lived for the past few years. Funeral services will be held July 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment will take place at St. Basil Cemetery in Fraserwood following the service.
