MARGARET LAUFEY HORTON (nee MYRDAL) July 7, 1938 - July 14, 2008 In the early afternoon of July 14, 2008, surrounded by her husband and children, Margaret lost a short but courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Doug, her children Don (Wendy), Barb (Doug), and Brent. Also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren Megan (Trent), Jason, Janelle, Bri, Lauren, Erik and Maddy. During her lifetime, Margaret touched countless people in her own special way. The family hopes that the wisdom she shared and her memory will live on and continue to guide those whom she touched. Special thanks to Dr. Frank Bovell for his care and compassion. As well, thanks go to the support staff of St. Boniface General Hospital, especially ward 6A South. A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Margaret's life. Flowers are graciously declined. However, in lieu of flowers, Margaret asked that donations be made to the Centre for Conscious Living or CancerCare Manitoba.
