CLAYTON WILLIAM MCGREGOR June 26, 1982 - July 11, 2008 It is with great sorrow and extraordinary pride that we announce the passing of Clayton William McGregor, who went 'home' to be with his heavenly Father. In his home in St. Albert, Alberta, with his wife by his side, Clay finally 'put down his dukes' on his three year, no holds barred, all out WAR with cancer. Originally given only mere months to live, Clay packed a lot of life into the next three years. He married the love of his life, fathered a beautiful daughter, bought and renovated a home, traveled, and ensured that everyone in his life knew that they were loved by him. He was an inspiration to many, constantly beating the odds with his characteristic humor and charm. Clayton will be remembered for his enthusiasm around the union hall as an apprentice pipe-fitter, his undying love for classic cars and his '52 Ford pick-up, his tenacity on the ice as a hockey player, and his spirited, lively sense of humour that was present even in his darkest moments. Survived by his wife, Lisa (Vanderwolf); daughter, Mykenzi; mother, Tami; father, Bill; sister, Darci; brother-in-law, Glen; nephew, Coen; father-in-law and mother-in-law Casey and Sandy, sisters-in-law Jill and Kyla and their families, along with adoring aunts and uncles, three grandmothers, and countless friends, Clayton was a larger than life force to be reckoned with, and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Clay's life will be held on Saturday, July 19.
