Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJONATHAN CARRINGTON (TRUMAN JOHN SHADLOCK) Surrounded by love, Jonathan Carrington died peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, at age 48, from sepsis, following a long, hard-fought battle. He was born Truman John Shadlock on June 26, 1960 in Brandon, MB, attended King George V Elementary School and graduated from Elmwood High School. At an early age, he showed an exceptional natural ability for dancing, and taught professionally at Rhythm Works and Ken Matthews dance studios. Jonathan was an excellent cook and worked several times at Tubby's Pizza. His compassionate, caring nature led him to work for many years as a health care aide. He was also assistant to businessmen Fred Glazerman and Fred Kittner, as well as a longtime promotional assistant to Jerry Shore. Jonathan was well-known in the Winnipeg entertainment community, in which he fundraised for charities, hosted karaoke, and sang and danced for nearly 30 years. He adored his nieces and nephews, had a terrific sense of humour, held numerous honours, was an eloquent public speaker, and admired classic cars. Jonathan's Mom and step-Dad, Illa and Ed Kamer and family greatly appreciate the loving support of so many. Thank you to Moe Feakes and the staff of House of Hesed, St. Boniface General Hospital, Marc Courchene, John Jeffery, Brad Kittner, and John Swereda for years of compassionate assistance, and to Jay Richthammer for his longtime friendship, for holding Jonathan as his struggle ended, and for the eulogy. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 18 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk. Cremation has taken place. In Jonathan's memory, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Gilbart Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Although I was friends with Johnathan (Sean) for just a short time he is often in my thoughts. I will always remember him as fun and gregarious. He was an original. - Posted by: Carrie (Friend) on: Jul 15, 2016

I will miss Jonathan, he was a great man and a wonderful friend. He was a warm loving man and a comedian, he sure could brighten up a room. He will be deeply missed and will always be in my heart.. He was the type of friend that would give you the shirt off his back. The kind of friend that we all would love to have in our life. Love Sarina - Posted by: Sarina Kitsch (Friend) on: Jul 14, 2008
