GARRY BRIAN ZILINSKI March 31, 1952 - July 13, 2008 Peacefully, Garry Zilinski passed away at his residence on Sunday, July 13, 2008. Predeceased by his mother Minnie Zilinski in 1971 and his father Patrick Zilinski in 1986. Garry is survived by his brother Dennis Zilinski, sister Pat (Greg) Ozechowsky, nephews Dan (Jodi) Zilinski, Damien Ozechowsky and niece Debbie Friesen, as well as great- nephews and nieces. Garry was born and raised in Transcona before settling in Winnipeg. One of Garry's greatest prides was his 15-year recognition award for volunteering at the Health Sciences Centre. A funeral service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home (455 Lagimodiere Blvd.) on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with interment at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow after the interment in the reception centre. As per Garry's request, donations may be made in his name to the Manitoba Epilepsy Association Inc., 825 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3A 1M5 or the Diabetes Foundation of Manitoba, 1114A-233 Kennedy Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 3J5.
