Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGUSTAV MURRAY ARNOLD NELSON Suddenly on July 15, 2008 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg surrounded by his family, Dad passed away at the age of 88. He was born in Deerhorn, MB on January 23, 1920 and lived all of his adult life in Lundar, MB. In June 1948, he married the love of his life, Loreley, recently celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. Together they raised six children, Murray, Garry (Lucille), Darrell (Donna), Craig (Leona), Alona (Ed), Lyndon (Joelle). He has eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a niece Geraldine. He worked in Lundar all his life except for a short stint in the Air Force during the Second World War as an airplane mechanic. He was a skilled mechanic, projectionist, school bus driver and owned his own TV and radio repair business and was generally a 'jack of all trades'. Along with his brothers Philip and Hjalmar, he will long be remembered for the beautiful music played at dances around the region. He enjoyed building and tinkering with his radio controlled airplanes hoping to, one day, fly them all. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, two brothers-in-law and his father and mother-in-law Walter and Palina Breckman. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008, at the Lundar Legion Hall with Pastor Bernie Rist officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Personal Care Home in Lundar, in care of Irene Danielson, PO Box 296, Lundar, MB R0C 1Y0 or to the E.M. Crowe Memorial Hospital Guild for use in the Eriksdale Personal Care Home PO Box 474, Eriksdale, MB R0C 0W0 or to a charity of one's choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Burnett, the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital Emergency, the Eriksdale and Lundar Personal Care Home staff and Home Care workers for their help and support when it was needed. Also to the ambulance attendants for their excellent care on the trip to the hospital. All of your support has been greatly appreciated.
