ALBERT WILLIAM DENTRY December 28, 1921 - July 17, 2008 Peacefully, on July 17, 2008, with his family by his side Bert Dentry left us. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Louise (Kitty), son Brian (Penny), daughter Carol (Doug) Boulay. Grandchildren, Meighan (Dean) Webster, Chris Boulay, Chloe (Jess) Swenson, Bryce Boulay (Mona), and Sarah (Dan) Travis. Great-grandchildren, Jackson, Brett, Brody, Emily, Reese and Loki. Bert served with pride in Europe with the Canadian Army during the Second World War. He was very proud of his 42 years working at the C.B.C. and of the great friends that he made during those years. He and Louise became world travellers upon retirement, but none compared to his pride and joy - the cabin at Ena Lake Ontario. Nature, and respect for the environment was of great importance to Bert. He passed this knowledge and love of nature and the environment on to his children and grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the residents of Kiwanis Chateau for all their support. Also special thanks to the staff on the 4th, 5th, and 6th floor at St. Boniface Hospital for making Bert comfortable during his stay. At Bert's request, cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bert's favorite charities, The Canadian Wildlife Federation, or The War Amps.
