HELEN HAIKO (nee WAWRYK) Peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 surrounded by her family Mrs. Helen Haiko age 76 years passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Michael Haiko in 1996; father John; mother Caroline; two brothers Mike and Ed. Mom leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children son Ronald wife Jennifer; daughter Debra Hladun husband Rohnne; grandchildren Holly, Amber and Wyatt; brother Frank wife Helen; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Helen was known as a well respected hair dresser in the community, but her one true priority in life was her family. Prayers will be held on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Helen's R.C. church Shoal Lake, MB. Rev. Fr. L. Fernandes presiding. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, or to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Association.
