MARIANNA LONSKI (nee JANIEC) Surrounded by love, Marianna Lonski died peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the Victoria General Hospital, at the age of 62. Marianna will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jozep Lonski; children Irene Golembioski (Ian) and John Lonski; grand-children Alexander and Lexi; brothers Stanley, Marian, Ted, Joseph and sister Janina. She was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Stephanie Janiec. Marianna was born on February 9, 1946 in Niekurza, Poland and moved to Winnipeg in 1966. Shortly after arriving in Winnipeg she met Jozep and was married the same year. Marianna spent a 20 year career with the University of Manitoba and retired in 2004. Marianna was a very loving person who was always smiling. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, gardening and having company over to the home or cabin. Babcia especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Alexander and Lexi. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. On behalf of our family we would like to thank all the staff at the Victoria General Hospital.
