JOCELYNE CURRIE (nee ROUIRE) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jocelyne Currie in Victoria, BC on Monday, July 14, 2008. Jocelyne was born on May 17, 1943. She attended elementary school in Haywood and high school in Fannystelle and St. Charles. In 1966 she married Aurele St. Godard and they raised their family in St. Boniface. In 1991 she moved to Victoria, BC and later married Robert Currie. She enjoyed travelling across Canada and the United States with her husband Bob, stopping to visit with family and friends along the way. Jocelyne enjoyed cooking new recipes for family and friends. She was such a creative cook that eventually she compiled many of her favourite recipes together with some from family and friends into a cookbook entitled Cooking is an Art. It was her millennium project. She distributed many copies to family and friends. Jocelyne also enjoyed sewing something special for family and friends. She always had new projects in progress. She will be lovingly remembered by many who received gifts she created herself. In November 2007 she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She died peacefully after having fought a courageous battle. • Our family is deeply saddened by the passing of Jocelyne, our "special" cousin, aunt and friend. Many years ago, Jocelyne and Gilbert lived with our family providing much needed support and love at a time when we needed it most. Over the years, she supported our family through her many acts of kindness, her generosity and her guidance. We will remember her sense of humor and her creative abilities. We will always remember Jocelyne's support and compassion when our mother was ill. Our sincerest condolences to Bob and the Rouire Family. - Posted by: Valerie Doig (Family) on: Jul 24, 2008
