JOSEPH KULA Peacefully, on Thursday, July 17, 2008, Joe passed away at the Beausejour Hospital into the arms of his Saviour at the age of 79 years to join his children. To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his beloved wife Ruth (nee Endler) of 52 years of marriage. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary Kula; his beloved children Brian in 2000 and Marian in 1960, and his brother Ted in 2000. Besides his wife Ruth, he is survived by his brother Andrew (Bernice); his sister Elizabeth (Don) Dodd; his brother Peter (Veronica, who passed away on the same date, July 17, 2007); also many nieces and nephews. Joe lived a full and happy life. He was a kind, caring and loving husband and father. Always a smile on his face, he believed in doing small things with great love rather than doing great things with no love. His favourite saying was Things are not so bad, they could be worse. Special thanks to Dr. Zeiler and staff at the Beausejour Hospital for their care and compassion, also to my extended family for all their love and support. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour on Wednesday, July 23 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Mark Drozniak presiding. Interment to follow at Eastdale Catholic Cemetery. Donations may be made in Joe's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. If tears could build a stairway, And memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven And bring my family home again.
