Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACQUELINE ELISABETH SMITH Jacqueline Smith (nee Wood), resident of Lion's Place, passed away on June 26, 2008 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 70. Jacqueline was born on August 4, 1937 in Winnipeg, the middle of five children, Doreen, Yvonne, Edward and George. She married Edward Smith in 1955 and they had five children, Edward (Gale), Keith (Cindy), Jo-Ann (Robert), Rod (Linda) and Charlene (Dennis); eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mom spent her time looking after her children and also enjoyed knitting, sewing and embroidering, including making many Halloween costumes for all of her children. She always remembered friends' and family's birthdays and you could always expect a phone call and a card garnished with stickers. Mom enjoyed her many collections, but especially loved her dolls, and each had a name. She amazed everyone at Lion's Place by putting on doll shows. Jacqueline was also on the Council in her building, which involved ensuring that each resident received a card for every special occasion. She will be missed by all. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment has been held at Brookside Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
