Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAUDREY RAJOTTE (nee SPENCER) 1926 2008 Peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2008 Audrey Rajotte, with her family by her side, passed away due to complications from Alzheimer's. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Marcel; infant son Joseph; parents Fred and Marie Spencer; brothers Henri, Aldege, Leonard and great-grandson Caymin. Mom is survived by her children, Wayne (Denise), Ray (Alice), Linda (Barry), Carol (Herb), Richard (Judy), Gary; her grand-children Andrea (Vance), Kurt, Blair; Cameron (Pam), Claudine, Paul, Marc (Karen); David, Marc, Christine (Kirby), Delaney (Jon), Jarrett, Lee, Sean, Michelle (Glenn), Rachelle, Alyssa, Leanne, Jade, Holly; and her great-grand-children Brandyn, Brett, Blanca, Ella, Layla, Ava, Tera, Russell. Mom is also survived by her brothers Wilbert, Roland, Lionel, Bobby, Ronald, Andre, Roger and sisters Evelyn and Jeannette. Mom was born on April 5, 1926 in Coniston, Ontario. In 1944 she moved to Marathon, Ontario with her sister Jeannette to work in the mess hall at the Ammunition Plant. It was here that she met our father, Marcel. On October 21, 1946 they became husband and wife. After starting their family, mom and dad moved to Winnipeg in 1959 to a new home on Buttonwood Bay. Mom began work in the 1960s at Eaton's, first in the gift wrap section, then later in men's wear. In 1973 she started her career at the St. Boniface Hospital in Central Dispatch. She retired in 1996 at the age of 70 and continued to work casually until she was 80. In her retirement years, Mom enjoyed 10 pin bowling at the La Verendrye Club A Celebration of our mother, Audrey's life will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernadette's Parish, 820 Cottonwood Rd. with Father Fred Olds officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. Eva Smil for her on-going years of care to mom; the staff of WHRA/Homecare and Foyer Valade for their loving care of our mother; the management of the Courts of Windsor, her home for 34 years, and to the staff at the Southdale Family Restaurant for their years of service to our mother. To the staff at the Seven Oakes Geriatric Mental Health Unit: A heartfelt thank-you from everyone in our family for the care and compassion you demonstrated towards our mother. Your special care made the last weeks of her life comfortable and peaceful; your devotion brought incredible comfort to her family. A special thank you to the extended family of our dad, Marcel, for the years of sisterly love they gave our mother.
