Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK MILTON LIPSEY Peacefully, with family by his side, Jack passed away on Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Riverview Health Centre. Jack was born May 13, 1923 at his grandfather's farm near Maryfield, SK. Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Grace Lipsey, brother James and nephew Cameron Fyke, he is survived by his beloved wife Helen, sisters Jean Fisk of Hilton, NY and Joyce Fyke (Leverne) of Winnipeg, Aunts Mary Lipsey of Moosomin, SK and Marion Marshall, Wawota, SK, brother-in-law Gerald Sandell, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, cousins, and many wonderful friends. He attended Public School at Dayton and High School at Maryfield, SK followed by several years of farming. Leaving the farm in 1969, he successfully studied the requirements of a Funeral Director and Licensed Embalmer and was employed at the Gardiner Funeral Home for five years, then at Thomson Funeral Chapels, retiring in 1990. He succeeded greatly in his new found profession, a position he did with expertise. He was a very caring gentleman. After his retirement he drove for CancerCare for five years. Jack was a Past Master of Maryfield Lodge #94 and P.D.D.G.M. of the Masonic Order in Saskatchewan (currently belonging to Moosomin Lodge #7 and Charleswood-Red River #184), Past Patron of Moosomin Chapter #113, Rainbow Chapter #63 and Jubilee Chapter #27 of The Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Grand Patron of the Grand Chapter of Manitoba, Order of the Eastern Star in 1993-94. Viewing will take place at Trinity United Church 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 23 and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 24. Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Church, 933 Summerside Avenue, off Killarney Avenue in Fort Richmond, at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2008. At Jack's request, cremation will take place followed by a private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre Foundation, One Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 2P4, or the charity of your choice.
