MARION ADAMS (CAMPBELL) It is with great sadness the family of Marion Adams announces her passing on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Grace Hospital. Marion was predeceased by her husband Thane, parents George and Greta Campbell and sister Shirley Matthews. Left to cherish Marion's memory is her son Myles (Paula) Adams, daughter Maxine (Devon) Kashton, grandchildren Jared, Emily, Jordan, Abigail and Caroline as well as her sisters, brothers, extended family and friends. Mom was born in Baltic, Prince Edward Island, moving to Halifax and then returning to PEI where she married Thane in June 1952. Thane enlisted in the Air Force and Mom was employed with the Department of National Defense, which brought about many moves and relocations across Canada allowing them to make many friends. Mom retired in 1990 as a DND employee at Air Command. During her employment Mom was a part time student at the University of Winnipeg, where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1992. Mom's greatest passion was her family and always looked forward to family gatherings especially when music was involved. Mom could play the fiddle, piano and guitar and enjoyed playing music with her brothers and sisters. On weekends Mom looked forward to the dances at the Mess with Dad. Mom loved working on her house; she always managed to find something that required fixing. After Dad's passing, on Saturday nights you could always find Mom watching Hockey Night in Canada and listening to CFRY radio. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion of Mom. A special thanks to the many friends and families who visited Mom while in the Hospital. Flowers gratefully declined. A donation may be made in Marion's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, P.O.
