CHRISTINE MARGARET DOERKSEN (nee BROMMELL) On Monday, July 21, 2008 Christine Margaret Doerksen of Winnipeg (formerly of Altamont, Manitoba) passed away at the age of 63 years at the St. Boniface Hospital. Christine was predeceased by her husband Roy. She leaves to mourn her loss, her children, Chris (Sylvia) Mooney, Shawn (Rhonda) Mooney, Colleen (Alain) Jolicoeur, Patrick (Franki) Mooney and her 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Sylvia Tissot (Carman), Rosemarie (Don) Menzies and her brothers, Alan (Dolores) Brommell, Geoff Brommell and Mike (Nancy) Brommell. Christine was born in Yorkshire, England, but was raised in Altamont, Manitoba. Funeral service will be held at the Altamont Community Hall on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Allison Halstead officiating. Interment will be in the Altamont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 175 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB. R3E 0V9. A wonderful mother, woman and aid. One who was better, God never made. A wonderful worker, loyal and true. One in a million, that mother was you. Just in your judgement, always right. Honest and liberal, always up front. Loved by your family and all you knew. A wonderful mother gone all too soon. You will forever be remembered by all whom you touched. My deepest sympathy to Christine's family. May the love you hold so dear help you through this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
