MICHAEL (MIKE) RUSSELL BROWN May 15, 1954 - July 18, 2008 After an incredibly enjoyable journey I have defeated cancer, and moved on to the next stage of my existence. I left this world in peace with my family by my side. I leave behind my dear Mum (Kathleen), my sister (Elizabeth) who was always supportive, many family in South Shields England and my dogs Huck and Patti. To my beloved wife of 20 years Nancy, every bell, whistle and siren went off the first time I saw you, and they never stopped. I'll be watching over you and waiting to rejoin you. Living in England, Quebec, Wisconsin and Winnipeg brought me countless friends and experiences. In sports, Lucania, the Bisons, Sr. Stangs, Clippers and beloved Wombats (Rugby) brought ever more. So did my work in nursing and the MB Nurses Union. Hiking and paddling in Manitoba and across Canada was always inspiring, refreshing and made me want to see over the next hill. For now, thanks to you all. To anyone I have hurt or offended, I beg your forgiveness. You are all special and I love you. Now, I am reunited with my Dad, whom I have missed so much, many dear friends and my dogs. Special thanks to Dr. E. J. Pilat, Dr. P. E. Harris and the incomparable staff at Concordia Oncology. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26 at The Church of St. Stephen and St. Bede, 99 Turner Avenue at 11:00 a.m. If you wish, please make donations to www.righttoplay.com or to the Manitoba Naturalists Society Mantario program, 401 - 63 Albert Street, Winnipeg, MB R3B 1G4. The term is over: the holidays have begun! The dream is over; Now is the morning! C. S. Lewis NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
