PEARL (GRACE) MULVIHILL (nee KUZ) 1937 - 2008 On July 20, 2008 at the Gimli Hospital Pearl lost her four year battle with cancer. It was a battle she fought with optimism, courage and the utmost dignity. At her request, cremation has taken place. Besides her loving husband Tom of 52 years, Pearl is survived by daughters, Pam (Grant) Collins, Trish (Dave) Young, Jan (Martin) Ens and Nicole (Nigel) Martin, son Tom (Rhea), sister Helen Scribilo, brother Bill (Valerie) Kuz, ten Granddaughters and three Grandsons. Pearl was predeceased by her infant son Richard, grandparents, Mike and Anna Magis, father John Kuz, mother and stepfather Mary and Wasyl Martyniw, sister Adeline (Stanley) Schaworski and brother John (Erla) Kuz Jr. Pearl worked at Eatons for a short time before and just after marriage to Tom but her main focus in life was her family. She was very supportive of their endeavors and extremely proud of their accomplishments. After her children left home, Pearl started a small business called Pearl's Promotions where she did food demonstrations in grocery stores. Her sales ability helped launch many new products into the marketplace. In several stores, she was known as the Schneiders Lady . Pearl's many beautiful gardens were a tribute to Mother Nature, but her real domain was her kitchen. Meals she prepared for family and friends will be long remembered. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26 at 1:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Manitoba with former pastor and family friend Father Raymond Beaudry officiating. Reception to follow. The family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and health care aides at the Gimli Hospital for their compassionate care of Pearl during her two week stay. In lieu of flowers, the family recommends that donations be made in Pearl's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, ON1160 - 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Pearl was a very special lady. She will be missed dearly and loved forever. Chapel Lawn 885-9715

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Uncle Tommy and cousins, I am so sorry to hear that Auntie Gracie has passed away. Its been years since we've seen each other or spoken yet, when I think of her and you my memories go to those hot riotous summer days in Kenora when you visited. Where has the time gone? You are in my thoughts and prayers. A mass will be said in Auntie Gracie's memory at my parish church. My sincerest sympathy. Darlene Scribilo - Posted by: Darlene Scribilo (Family) on: Jul 25, 2008
